View From My… Tent on The Silver Sands
Whenever we go away or on holiday, especially when we go camping, I often find myself taking a photo from where I lay my head. It got me thinking about a mini series that I could start, View From My….
Today, although the picture isn’t that picture perfect amazing with the grey clouds and all, I am sharing a view from my tent at the Silver Sands Campsite. Just South of Malliag in Scotland this campsite is perched amongst, you guessed it, silver sands.
You have to trust me on this one though because again the picture doesn’t show you the sands that are surrounded by rocky out crops. Honestly, it is a pretty little campsite and very convenient for a quick stop over when touring.
This view is pretty special to us as a family because of where we had just been. In the distance, over the grass, over the rocks and all the way over the sea are two little Islands that now bring us such memories of holidays with the Robot. To the right is the Isle of Rum and just to the left is the Isle of Eigg.
We caught the ferry on foot from Malliag and spent 2 nights each in camping pods. Lots of playing and adventures had by us all.
That’s it folks, a very simple new blog series, but one I hope you like? Would you like more? I probably have a whole back catalogue of pictures from years gone by to bore you with!
