Robots Reading Round Up #7
It’s that time of the month again and it’s time to take the library books back and get new ones! For some reason this month I only got 3 books out the library instead of my normal 4. It doesn’t matter though as we do have plenty at home too. I think I’d picked up books before heading to the shops and I didn’t want to weigh myself down. That is my only logical reason! Let’s take a look at what we had last month:
I think I mentioned last time that books with cartoon animals aren’t as appealing to the Robot as ones with real animals. This book couldn’t have proved me more wrong! On each page the animal says hello and then starts saying hello in another “language”. That language is the animal noise of the animal you can see through the little hole onto the next page. It’s cute and the Robot loved this one. It could be my rubbish animal noises that he likes though! Thumbs up from us.
I first came across the Stick Man story at Christmas when it was on the TV. I am sure if I’d had older children I would have known about it sooner. I love the story and the rhyming throughout. A lovely read for me. The Robot likes all the little animals in the illustration. This is a perfect little book for us.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar – ABC
I’ve yet to actually read the Very Hungry Caterpillar to the Robot. There are so many spin-off books to it now that I’ve yet to find one at the library. This is a fun and colourful book with lots interesting animals in it. The Robot certainly was drawn to it. It would be great in a few years when he’s learning ABC’s. Thumbs up from us again.
There you have it 3 beautiful books this month… I love to hear about what books your little ones read, please do share this with me?
