#FamilyFun Week 5

Welcome to #FamilyFun Week 5

It’s another late write up for my #FamilyFun post this week.  Dave & I decided to have a last minute break away.   We took off on the bikes to Slaidburn YHA through the Forest of Bowland for the night.  We’re definitely making the most of the last good weather.   It was very apparent that the Autumn was setting in, the leaves on the trees are changing, the grass isn’t as green.  Everything just looks a little bit more sleepy.

I’m really impressed with how well the Robot copes on the back of my bike.  My bike however is not impressed with having a to be ridden up hills.  We had to stop twice to fix my chain.  Not that I was complaining though as it meant I got to have a rest up the hills!  Here we are..

Enough about me though…  the most important bit…

The Winner of “I’m a #FamilyFun Number One”

We have a draw this week so both deserve the “I’m a #FamilyFun Number One” badge…

First to Helen from Just Saying Mum for You Know You’ve got Teens When… I don’t think any of us can prepare for being parents.  Still very much at the beginning of the toddler phase here I love reading Helens post because it gives me an insight into what life is going to be like in 12 years time!  Sorry if that makes you feel old Helen!

Second to Katie from Squirmy Popple for When your child sleeps through the night and you don’t.   I’m still waiting for the Robot to sleep through the night here.  The odd occasion he does I sleep all night too!  I totally get where Katie is coming from in this post though.  There are times when he wakes me up at night and goes straight back off to sleep leaving me with my brain whirring away.   It’s beyond frustrating.

Congratulations to both of you, pick up the badge code for your badge here.

My Featured Post

This week the award goes to Sam from Chocolate and Wine and I’ll be Fine for her Apple Picking post..   Autumn is my favourite time of the year and Apple Picking is something that I really want to do.  Sams post just made me want to do it more!  I’m growing an apple tree from seed at home and its 3ft now.  I hope to see it grow apples one day!   Thanks for sharing this with us and don’t forget to head over to  pick up the badge code for your badge.
