Playing Outdoors

With a baby playing out doors can be tricky. As the Robot has got bigger though it is becoming easier and easier.   Our favourite thing to do outdoors with him is going for a walk!  We did exactly this as part of The Wildlife Trusts #30DaysWild challenge.

In the heat we’ve been having recently we’ve opted for a woodland walk, but with an OS map in hand, we veered off and up hill to see the view around Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. It’s great to have mini picnics in the shade and just let the Robot explore the grass and his surroundings.

Still not quite sure of the definition of VLOG, here is a little HOME MOVIE of our walk:

This is in support of Louise from Squished Blueberries and Sarah Rooftops new Linky This Little Big Life.

#ABC123 is a challenge I have set myself to complete 26 weeks of posts, every week a different letter of the alphabet.  This week is the letter O for outdoors.

Do you fancy having a go at the #ABC123 Challenge?

What Wild activities are you completing this June?  I’d love to know and have some inspiration!

  1. Morecambe’s cropped up in conversation a lot this week with me, lots of reminiscing about the club nights we used to get buses in for from uni in Lancaster!

Woodland walks sound great and the weather’s been lovely for getting outside in #country kids

I used to live in morecambe as a teen, it always amused me when the Uni students used to come through for their drinking!! I love getting out for a good walk. The woods have saved us from the heat!

He spent a good 10 minutes devouring those grapes and all I got was a few seconds of footage!! He never shuts up when we go out, constant babbling, unless sleeping! Thanks for hosting #countrykids

  2. I loved the sound of the 30 days wild challenge but knew I couldn’t do it this month with a planned hospital trip. Love how happy Robot is in his carrier – those little babbles of delight are just gorgeous and he looked like he was enjoying sitting and rolling in the grass. Always lovely to get out and about and enjoy the great outdoors. That happy babble right at the end of the video clip is adorable 🙂 #countrykids

You can still practice a day here or there of the challenge. You’ve had a lot on so perfectly understandable to not join in! The Robot loves being up and watching the world go by, he is a happy little soul! X

  3. I love a good woodland walk! We’ve had a couple recently as it’s been just so hot, I think my kids sometimes struggle with the heat, so shaded woods are perfect. Looks like a fun place to explore. Love the sound of the #abc123 challenge, what a fab idea. We’ve kind of been doing the #30dayswild one – most days for us involve some kind of outdoor adventure! #countrykids

That’s what I thought about the challenge, we do stuff out doors all the time. It’s good trying out different things though that I wouldn’t have done without the challenge though!
