Picnic in the Wild & Appy Kids Juice

We always try to promote healthy living and have an active lifestyle. Taking part in The Wildlife Trusts #30DaysWild Challenge is giving us the opportunity to do just that.   One of the challenges is to have a picnic in the wild.  Not content with just the two of us we invited Gran along for the day too!

On a picnic blanket, the robot is playing with crackers and Gran is looking on at the chaos!

Packing a picnic for the Robot basically just means finger foods and a lot of mess!  Not confined to a high chair he gets to roam around and get in everything!  It’s not for the faint hearted, I am still washing cream cheese from my hair!  Okay, so I am slightly exagerating a little, it was a lot of fun and it’s just great to be outdoors!

While on the picnic I got the oppertunity to try out some juices that Appy Food & Drink Co had sent me.  Perfect for a picnic as they are individual cartons.

3 juice cartons sat in the grass

Appy foods use 100% natural ingredients in their products and it means they are lower in sugar and better for teeth and general health.  We tried 3 different flavours out and they are all really delicious, you can’t tell the difference from other sugar packed juices.

The Robot at only 11 months was more interested in the packaging than trying the juice, but can you blame him, they are colourful and chewable!  The cartons are packed full of information and host some favourite childrens characters.  They use the plant based Stevia to sweeten their products.

Appy Kids Co are family focused and promote healthy lifestlyes, perfect for us.  They have the Appy Family Club with many exciting benefits including FREE nutritional advice, family days out and educational workshops.  You can buy Appy products from Tesco, Ocado and Whole Foods.

If you’d like to know more about the brand and find out more about the products they sell, then check out their website: Appy Kids Co.

  1. I so love picnics! It’s really lovely to be outdoors although it can get a bit messy 🙂 We nearly always picnic when we are on hols, it’s just cheaper and nicer and juice cartons are always a lifesaver. I like the idea that they are natural and better for the teeth.
