Day 3 of 30 Days Wild

Getting out and exploring nature is such a great idea.  We go out and about everyday but on this occasion we decided to explore our back garden.  We’ve not got the biggest of gardens, but at least we have some.  Here is the tour:

The gate to the neighbours and a few pot plants.

little garden bed and plant pots
My most favourite bit is my little garden bed.

My little garden bed was built by my own hands while 8 months pregnant and has lots of random plants in!  I really need to learn what they are!  We also have a mini compost bin and a wood store come junk store.  It’s our garden and I like it.

On with the exploring  – bug hunting

Not the most successful bug hunt I’ve ever done!  We’re going to have a go at building some bug attractions over the weekend. Hopefully come day 30 we’ll have more bugs!!

#ABC123 The Letter N

On to some more play time.  The Robot is crawling and loves exploring.  What better way to celebrate nature is to let him loose on the garden.  Louise at Squished Bluberries has inspired me to have a go at making a video:

This is in support of Louise and Sarah Rooftops new Linky This Little Big Life.

#ABC123 is a challenge I have set myself to complete 26 weeks of posts, every week a different letter of the alphabet.  This week is the letter N for Nature.  I have cunningly fit it in with the #30DaysWild Challenge.

Do you fancy having a go at the #ABC123 Challenge?

Recap Day 2 of 30 Days Wild

In my Intro post I mentioned I wouldn’t post a blog every day.  The days I don’t post you can find our wild activities on my Instagram and Twitter account.

Yesterday we took off on the bike down the canal.  Something we do a lot of, this time though I made a point of listening to the birds and spotting flowers.  I can’t quite get over how vocal the birds are at the moment

The stone walls are pretty much standard in my part of the world. My house was built in 1863 and on the original cross roads of the town. Pretty cool.

  1. It’s great to see what you’re getting up to on your #30dayswild challenge, It’s great that you and the Robot are making the most of your garden too! My garden area was much the same until recently when Guy and I spent the time sorting it and replanting some lovely herbs and plants. I’m sure the robot can’t wait to get hunting for some more bugs in the garden over the next month. Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.

He certainly likes exploring and getting muddy. I think the challenge is a brilliant idea. I must buy some more herbs, I think it’ll add a bit more.

I so hope the Linky is a success! Little acorns, people will come! I’m editing my next at the moment, it’s fun! The mud isn’t staying in the pots at all! My gardening dreams are waning!
