Hello, my name is Karen and I’m a blogger.

Hello, my name is Karen and I’m a blogger.

This is Karen and she is a blogger. A baby wearing blogger from Twotinyhands.co.uk

Forgive me for sounding like I am at an AA meeting here, but I thought I’d better introduce myself and what on earth I am doing here;  I’m a blogger!

There comes a time in a bloggers life that they are suddenly proud of who they are and what they have achieved to date.  It’s taken me several months to get to this stage but I have started to tell people about my blog.   Actual people!

My close friends and my close family have known for quite a while.  It took courage to tell them but it’s taken even bigger courage to tell the wider family and my Mummy friends.   I’m a bit of a closed book if you meet me in person and to share my life online like this is a bit of a big deal.  Do you know what though;

I AM PROUD OF TWOTINYHANDS.CO.UK

Since the beginning of the year I have documented every trip, every day out, every mildly or not amusing thing that we have done as a family and I have no reason to stop now.  I’m on a roll!

The last couple of weeks I have been dropping hints on the blog about changes we are making to our family life.  We’re now a week on from implementing these changes and its going well.

The world of parent blogging has taken hold of my heart and a high percentage of my time.  Dave says I am a happier person because of it.  Before I started blogging my days were lonely and I was aching for 5 o’clock until Dave got home.   No amount of baby groups or play dates made up for the fact as soon as I shut the door I was lonely.  Tribal Matters

Since I started blogging I have found a group of extraordinary bloggers who I chat too on a daily basis.  I’ve not met them but they are incredibly supportive and they understand what we all go through on this crazy journey that is parenting.

Back to the changes that Dave and I are implementing in our lives.  He misses out on so much of the Robots life going to work and he finds that hard too.  We’ve come to an agreement.  Dave is going to look after the Robot one day a week so that I can focus on the blog and my online world and seek revenue streams that are hopefully available to me.  It’s not going to be easy but we are going to give it a go for a while.

Regular readers of my blog have got to know my son as the Robot, so this is the shocker to my virtual friends, I call him Robert in real life!  I felt the need to share this now because I am being brave and inviting my friends and family to read and share my blog, my little family and our adventures. They won’t get the Robot reference so for the second time in the history of my blog I am telling you his real name!

If you are reading this you have indeed been prodded on Facebook.  I would love to hear from you and get a like from time to time.  For someone with a pretty offline presence for years I’ve certainly come back with vengeance.  I’ll return the love.

I always try to return the love.

Thank you.

  2. Yay! Exciting times indeed. It will be so nice to have a day to focus on your blog, I’m hoping to do the same sometime in the future as I’d like the boys to mingle with other kids at daycare one day a week. Good luck with it all 🙂 #TribalLove

  4. This is my first time to your blog, through #familyfun, and I love it! What an achievement as well. I’m a new blogger and think your site looks fab. So much content too, you should be proud. I’d love a day a week to focus on blogging, so I’m a bit jealous! Good on you for organising your lives around something that makes you happy. 🙂
