Ham Pasta Bake

Ham Pasta Bake

This includes leftover chilli, but it’s really easy to make.  I’m not including quantities as I’ve cooked it ad-hoc!

Set cooking the required amount of Pasta for your family.  I used 150g for 2 and a baby.  Fry off a chopped onion in a pan.  Add yellow pepper once softened.  I added the leftover Chilli and a can of chopped tomatoes.  I added some cut up pre-cooked ham.  Obviously if don’t eat meat then skip this!  I put the oven on to heat up.  When the pasta is cooked add it to the red sauce, give it a good mix up.  It should be covered well.   Let it cook for a couple of minutes and transfer to an oven proof dish.  I then sprinkled cheese on top, 3 different cheeses as that is what we had in the fridge.  Pop in the oven until the cheese has melted.

There you have it a quick and easy go to meal that requires very little thought or effort.  The best thing about it is that when the dish is in the oven, you can get the bulk of the washing up done before tea.  I hate washing up and find the dual wash a good way to cope.  If you have it all to do at the end of the meal it’s so disheartening!

Ever since discovering that the Robot loves any tomato based meal it’s been my go to staple tea time meal.  With the pending H to get made I chose Ham as I couldn’t think of anything else!  As I suspected the Robot absolutely loved this meal.  It’s a great one for babies in training.  The pasta is easy to pick up and he slurps all the red stuff off it.  The melted cheese is always a hit too!  Dave and I shared a tear and share garlic bread too.  It was loved all round!

#ABC123 is a challenge I have set myself to complete 26 weeks of posts, every week a different letter of the alphabet.  This week was the letter H.
