My chosen Play activity this week is Finger Painting with a difference.
I first saw this done at the baby toddler group that I go to with the Robot. He was about 4 months old so couldn’t really take part as lets face it, he couldn’t even sit up let alone play with the toddlers!! Poster paint, cling film and some scrap paper is all you need.
- Stretch cling film over a table
- Put paper down
- Squirt blobs of paint on the paper
- Stretch cling film over the paint and paper, carefully!
- That’s it, your all set up for some nice clean fun.
This is another instance that I think the Robot is still a little young for this activity! My Mum kindly helped him out a little to have a play, and stop him rolling off the table!
As ever the Robot looks a little confused as to what we’re doing! I even let him wear white as I was that convinced that he would stay clean! I would recommend that you use a lower table with a toddler so that they can walk around and have a good squidge of the paint.
I will try this again when the Robot is a little bit older, I’ll probably find a white table and ignore putting the paper in. I think it is probably more fun just squiding the paint around and making colours! Add more paint too so that it will spread around more.
I’d love to see your attempts at this, please send me the photos! Have you ever tried this before? Let me know if you do things differently?
#ABC123 is a challenge I have set myself to complete 26 weeks of posts, every week a different letter of the alphabet. This week was the letter F. More about:
