Welcome to #FamilyFun Week 6
This is the part of my week where I tell you a little bit about what we got up to over the weekend. Unfortunately I am going to have to disappoint you. Friday night I came down with a sick bug, followed by the Robot in the middle of the night. I’ve never seen him ill before so it was difficult to stomach. Literally because I really couldn’t stomach the contents of his stomach!
Dave was a trooper and it is probably the first time he’s been up in the night with us since the Robot was a new-born. Here “hold and clean the baby while I spew!” It wasn’t pleasant but we got through it… The Robot recovered quickly, I took a bit longer, then Dave got ill. It’s been one sick filled weekend of FUN FUN FUN!
Have you seen these little fellas over on my Instagram feed?
They’ve been cheering me up, why not follow us to keep a smile on your face?
The Winner of “I’m a #FamilyFun Number One”
Our winner of “I’m a #FamilyFun Number One” badge goes to… Min from Single Mum Speaks for Why Middle Aged Women Should Rule the World. A story of motherhood and public transport. The few times I’ve had to use the London Underground I think I probably got off lightly. I can’t imagine having to use it day in day out and with a buggy in tow. I’ve followed Min for several months now and I really love her style of writing, it was nice of her to drop in an older post for us to read. Congratulations you can pick up the badge code for your badge here.
My Featured Post
This week my featured award goes to Lucy from Lucy at Home for The Voluntary Baby Group Leader… As someone who volunteered for 10 years with Girlguiding I completely understood where Lucy was coming from. The job of a volunteer can sometimes feel like a thankless full time job. I gave up volunteering for Girlguiding when I had the Robot. It was a good time to stop, I was running 2 units and various other support roles in the area, there is no way I could have kept that up. I’m volunteering for my local sling library now and the ladies who run that are awesome volunteers too. If you go to a play group that is run by volunteers then why not have a quick read of Lucy’s post and go to the next session with a little bit more love!
Thanks for sharing this with us and don’t forget to head over to pick up the badge code for your badge.
