Bexhill-on-Sea

I’ve got many memories of Bexhill-on-Sea throughout my life. It is the family home of my Dad and even though I didn’t grow up there we visited family often when we were children. Less so in our adult lives but since my Dad has migrated back to his home town the option to visit more with our little family is there.

Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Last week the Robot and I took a mini epic solo trip down to the South coast to visit my Dad and the Robots Grandad. We’ve not been down to Bexhill since the Robot was 5 months old and boy has he changed since then. After a 7 hour train journey and 5 train changes we arrived for a couple of days of fun.

Fathers Day Fun

When Fathers Day rolls round I don’t tend to think much of it. Maybe because I don’t quite get to see much of my Dad or maybe it just feels like another day. Today though on Dave’s 2nd Father’s Day I’ve been thinking a bit differently. We always go on …

It’s Always When I’m Tired

As I’m sat cuddling my dear Robot to sleep I am thinking about the day I’ve had and the struggles that have ensued. It’s been a day I don’t want to particularly remember that much either. They are few and far between but you know what? It’s always when I’m …

I Can’t Sleep With Cold Feet

There you go, I can’t sleep with cold feet.  I wish that was enough said, but I’m awake, it’s gone 11, a shocker I know, and I can’t sleep!!  My mind is whirring away, my cold feet are fidgeting trying to keep warm, I’m trying to sleep! It is a …

Sometimes I’m Not OK, but that’s ok

Sometimes I’m Not OK This is something that I’ve toyed with writing for a few days now and have been putting it off because I worry.   I worry what people think of me and I know that I shouldn’t. Sometimes I’m not ok.  People in my on-line world only see …

Being a Stay at Home Mum – A Few Months On

A couple of weeks ago I shared that I’m blogging now and that one day a week I’ll be pursuing avenues of work while Dave does childcare.  I really do still consider myself to be a Stay at Home Mum.  Six days out of seven is okay isn’t it!? My …

How to Make Your Own Mummy Clique

How to Make Your Own Mummy Clique One thing I read and hear time and time again is about the impenetrable Mummy Clique.  That allusive group of Mummy’s who all seem to know each other.  The group of people who seem to have it all sorted.  The Super Women who …

Wearing my Baby – My Story

Wearing my Baby – My Story Making the decision to wear my baby was the best decision I have ever made.   When you are pregnant you are bombarded with information about what you need as a first time parent.  I spent hours trawling the internet and came up with a …

Missing the First Word

Did I really just miss my sons first word? We all love the milestones of our children and today for the first time Dave has taken full care of the Robot for the whole day.   We had a heart to heart last week and I said that I would share …

The Magic of Boobs

The Magic of Boobs When I decided to choose to breastfeed I never actually realised how integeral my boobs would become in the every day life of my son.  It’s like I knew that I’d be feeding him my milk and that I’d do so for as long as he …

Obsession

My dear boy is becoming obsessed.  I’m not talking tantrums because I’ve taken something off him.  This normally involves screaming out loud until I replace it with something of equal importance.  This is a never-ending list of things; my phone, a cable, something sharp, something small, basically anything he wants …

Bath Time Poo – Etiquette for Parents

This was going to be a blog post about all the things the Robot loves about bath time.  This kid really loves bath time!  Anything water related and he’s all there with bells and whistles on.   We’ve hit a little stumbling block though, he keeps pooing in the bath! Not …

Antics of My 12 Month Old

The month before last I posted a blog about my 10 month old and all the “naughty” things he got up to.  It got such a great response that I’ve decided to continue on and tell you what he’s been up to as a newly turned one year old… Firstly, …
