Woah! Where did I go for a bit there!? Or you might want to know where we didn’t go… it’s been the best part of a fortnight since my last post and I will tell you where we went but first I thought I’d share 100 hexies with you! you will have to scroll all the way to the end to find out about our absence!
It’s taken a tremendous amount of effort to do this post, part of me would be happy to let the blog lie empty a little while longer. I’d love to be using all my spare/non spare time sewing and playing with my kids but I appear to be blogging in my head. Everything I do I write it in my head and it starts to get annoying so here I am tapping away in an effort to stop the constant story in my head!
Today I’m going to be posting a series of Instagram photos based on the 100 hexie project. 100 days 100 hexies, making and creating 100 hexies on a given weekly theme and posting them under the hashtag 100hexies100days2018. I joined instagram last year in the midst of this challenge and I knew then I’d love to take part in it. So this year I am! The first weeks theme is all about me and here are all the photos that I have posted with text:

Hello my name is Karen and I love hexies! I’m going to take part in this years #100hexies100days2018. I joined Instagram in the midst of the end of last years challenge and thought it was pretty cool… This weeks theme is all about me and I will try and encapsulate me in hexies. I’m going to be adding these to my half inch hexie I spy quilt. Why Two Tiny Makes? It’s come from my blog name Two Tiny Hands, a name that became when I had my son 3 years ago. Two adorable tiny hands. I quite regularly refer to me and my blog as Two Tiny so adding Makes to this just made sense to me! I’ll be adding to my story as the week goes on… . . . #fussycutting #epp #hexieflower #englishpaperpiecing #eppfussycutting #eppeverywhere #handsewing #sewing #hexies #homemade #hexielove #hexieseverywhere
Continuing on with my story today for the #100hexies100days2018 it’s all about sewing. It’s something I’ve re-kindled in the past 9 months since my little girl was born. I lost the sew-jo when my son was born 3 years ago and I hadn’t realised how much I’d missed it. This lovely Instagram community has spurred me on in more ways than they know and I’m really enjoying sewing and learning again. I’ve sewn all my life in some form, I was obsessed with teddy kits when I was a girl and made all sorts of stuffed animals. I love making useful things and I hope to continue pursuing my sewing over the coming years while my kids are young and beyond! . . . . . . #fussycutting #epp #hexieflower #englishpaperpiecing #eppfussycutting #eppeverywhere #handsewing #sewing #hexies #homemade #hexielove #hexieseverywhere
I’ve told you about me, my sewing my next is family! We’re a family of 4, myself, Dave (my rock), Robert (aka Robot on the blog) and Chloe (aka baby CABS). The two littles are 3 and 9 months old. They keep me very busy. We love to be busy it makes things exciting. Through Dave, the Robot has developed a love and obsession with trains. 🚂 He has 6 different styles of train tracks and I’m amazed that we don’t own the wooden @brioplay train set as much as I love it and he’d enjoy it! 🚂 Many many of our day trips involve catching a train somewhere. We’re seasoned travellers! 🚂 #100hexies100days2018 3/100 #hexies #hexieoftheday #hexieseverywhere
4/100 #100hexies100days2018 I once got asked what is your favourite animal and why. I decided it was a hippo mainly because they always look like their smiling! I like to think I’m always smiling too! #hippopotamus #hexagon #hexies #hippo #smile
Day 6-7/100 #100hexies100days2018 the final 2 about me hexies for the 100 days of hexies. Peter Rabbit for where I live, not quite in the Lake District but close enough for day trips, home of Beatrix Potter! Wellies or Boots for the wonderful world of walking that we love to do so much. #hexieoftheday #hexies #peterrabbit
