Two Tiny Makes, my off shoot from Two Tiny Hands, is a little over a year old now and my year has been one full on year of creating and the 100 Blocks project is just one of them. I wanted this year to be like this though learning, exploring my crafting roots, having fun.
Fairly early I spotted Tula Pinks City Sampler book being bounded around on Instagram. Along with a challenge to sew 100 blocks, 1 a day for 100 days. I wanted in and knowing my limitations re: the kids I set off early before it started.
But here’s the big picture of them altogether. I did it, all of them:
It’s been a brilliant process learning to piece from a pattern, colour combinations, cutting and choosing fabrics. I have learnt a lot and it’s a great achievement to stick to a schedule to get things done.
The next phase is to sew them together into 2 Quilts one each for both my kids. A Green one for the Robot and an Orange one for CABS. They are going to be brilliant!!
But for now though I’ve a lot of holiday sewing to be getting on with so I’ll have to revisit this next year!!
